Francine Delgado-Lugo (She/Her)

@fran_del_lugo

Francine Delgado-Lugo is a NCSF certified Personal Trainer, USAW Level 2 Coach and Crossfit Level 1Trainer. She holds certificates in pre/post natal exercise, kettlebell training, running and corrective exercise.

Francine’s true pursuit of fitness began in 2010 as a 35 year old new mom who sought to lose 65 lbs of post pregnancy weight. She had been an overweight child who preferred reading books to running around. Most of her family members struggled with obesity and metabolic diseases, and physical activity was never a priority. In her mid 20’s Francine developed a daily yoga and running practice, mainly to “stay thin”, but also to manage the stresses of her demanding career. She maintained this practice into her 30’s but sidelined herself from these activities during pregnancy, fearful that exercise would hurt her baby. Francine proceeded to gain 85lbs, and after giving birth, she embarked on a mission to shed the remaining 65lbs.

Francine was no stranger to diet and weight loss culture—she had been dieting her entire life! So she figured that a retreat to strict dieting and an intensive running program would get her back to the goal weight she had arbitrarily picked. After 4 months of minimal results, Francine decided to hire a personal trainer. And with that experience, she was introduced to a life of heavy lifting and a focus on good movement. Easily fascinated by the science and mechanics of movement, she soon began to read everything she could on the topics. By 2011, Francine had lost an additional 30lbs, but weight loss was no longer the primary focus. Her experience with her trainer had been transformative, and she wanted to share her new found passion and knowledge with other women.

In 2012, Francine joined the ranks of certified trainers at Equinox in Brooklyn Heights, where she was able to hone her new skills and gain real life experience training others. She quickly worked her way up the ranks, developing a strong client base and training practice. By 2014, she was managing a team of 50 trainers, and by her departure in 2018, Francine had over sight of multiple clubs, with an influence over more than 150 trainers. While she had thoroughly enjoyed her management and leadership experience at Equinox, Francine longed to be back on the training floor with clients. Her greatest passion is to help people find their bodies and to conquer their mental and physical fears through weight training and movement.

Over the years, Francine was introduced to Obstacle Course Racing and Crossfit, and quickly fell in love with the sport of weightlifting. She continues to participate in each of these activities, with a primary focus in Olympic lifting as a Masters Level athlete. Francine and her husband Joey and son Malachi are avid Spartan Racers, with more than 40 races between them.

Keri Harvey (She/Her)

Keri Harvey is a NASM certified personal trainer and a Pain-Free Performance Specialist. She began her career in personal training after her own fitness journey transformed from aesthetic focused to working to feel strong and capable in everyday life. Keri moved from Texas to New York in March 2022 largely because she had a desire to be part of the positive changes Form Fitness Brooklyn was making in the fitness industry. Most recently Keri was introduced to powerlifting and competed in her first sanctioned meet where she was awarded first place in her weight-class.

Keri’s training style involves focusing less on a number on the scale and more on how her clients feel. Blaire Bjerke (She/Her)

Blaire Bjerke (she/her) is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Crossfit Level 1 Trainer. She holds a BA degree in Dance and is a Certified Pain-Free Performance Specialist.

Despite being active throughout her entire life; whether through dance, yoga, rock climbing or spin classes, Blaire did not touch a weight until the age of 30 when she took her first CrossFit class. The exposure to a barbell, combined with a supportive community, had her hooked. After years of feeling like her body never fit into the ideal dancer mold, she finally found a place where her body was valued for what it could do versus how it looked. Her mindset quickly shifted from a state of constantly wanting to shrink the size of her body, to fueling her body so she could maximize her strength. After a few years, she knew that she wanted to share this empowering mindset and physical shift with others.

Blaire specializes in beginner strength training, creating an environment where people can feel strong in their bodies. She is a Masters Level competitive Powerlifter.
